MontanaLibrary2Go Link to External Site

This project utilizes the OverDrive Link to External Site product to offer Montana library patrons a collection of downloadable e-content. MontanaLibrary2Go offers over 5000 downloadable audio titles and a growing collection of downloadable e-books to patrons of participating libraries. Titles are available for download on MP3 players, iPads, Nooks and Sony Readers. Participating libraries offer a variety of download options to their patrons. Some libraries provide in-library downloading options. Some offer patrons players for checkout. All enable the patron to download titles from anywhere, onto their own players Link to External Site.

New content is purchased through funding contributed by participating libraries based on a local cost formula, in addition to LSTA provided by the State Library. Ongoing costs (doc) are based on a shared formula that count total active patron records in each participating library’s local catalog. Startup costs (doc) for new libraries include a pro-rated amount from the local cost formula based on the phase the library joins the consortium, an OverDrive one time new library participation fee and the cost of an OverDrive Download Station Link to External Site if in-library downloading is required. Ongoing costs (doc) include the library’s local cost formula share and subsequent years’ OverDrive Download Station maintenance cost, if purchased.

New content is added monthly, based on selections made on a rotating basis by members of the MontanaLibrary2Go Selection Team.
