Cataloging Mentors

Introduction

Libraries that need assistance using the cataloging module may contact their cataloging mentor. Mentors can assist with general cataloging questions or choosing the correct MSC or OCLC record. In addition, they can review records for accurate tags, indicators, fixed fields, and authorities. Contact your mentor to work out the best way for them to assist you. Cataloging mentors can help MSC librarians catalog, but do not catalog for them. Libraries that need original cataloging for their unique, mainly Montana materials should utilize the Cataloging Agent-Client Program.
