If you're planning to come to Missoula for OFFLINE, why not come a bit early and participate in a Connecting to Spanish Speakers @ Your Library workshop at Missoula Public Library. All public, school, academic and special librarians are invited to attend. The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, February 21, 9:00 - 4:00. Presenters will be Molly Kliss (Missoula Public Library) and Catherine McMullen (Bozeman Public Library). There is no registration fee and lunch will be provided. Continuing education credits and OPI renewal units will be available for participants.

More than 70 librarians and staff from Montana public, school, academic and special libraries are getting up to speed with new technology by participating in the Montana Library 2.0 Challenge. The Challenge is an online learning program developed by Montana State Library staff to give librarians experience with Web 2.0 technologies that they may find useful in their libraries and in their lives. Participants can earn CE credit for completing the program, which continues until March 31.

OCLC is providing training on a new feature called the Connexion Digital Import that allows librarians to add content to the Montana Memory Project via OCLC’s Connexion cataloging tool. This training is scheduled for Wednesday, January 23 at 11:00 a.m. This will be a WebEx session conducted by Judy Cobb and Geri Ingram both of OCLC.

Downloadable e-content - pending MSL commission approval, the State Library will begin an LSTA pilot project that provides downloadable e-content services for interested Montana Libraries.
