Montana Library Day –September 14, 2011
A celebration of Montana’s libraries and librarians

Libraries who have committed to participate in Montana Library Day

Montana Library DayInteresting Factoid of the Year

  • Population of Montana is 989,415 (as of 2010)
  • Number of people who visited public libraries in Montana is 4,528,004.  (Yep.  That’s right.  More people visited public libraries than live in Montana.  And that’s only the public libraries.  If we added school, university and specialty libraries the number would be a LOT bigger.)

Do you know how your libraries make a difference?

  • No?  Well that’s what Montana Library Day is all about.  It’s a day in the life of libraries.  Montana librarians from all types of libraries will collect statistics and stories to share with you about what they do in a day and how people benefit from libraries.
