MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
Montana Library Day – September 14, 2011
Click here to see all of the Library Day tools including print ads, artwork, and the survey itself. An invitation to all Montana librarians...Please consider joining other libraries around the state in celebrating libraries and collecting statistics to highlight “a day in the life of libraries.” There are two survey groups consisting of Group 1 ( Bookmobile, Branch, Institutional, Other, Public, Special libraries) and Group 2 (Academic, School libraries). The differences in the surveys are the artwork and a single question about classes - everything else is the same. |

What is Montana Library Day?
You will be asked to collect 10-12 statistics about what happens in your library on that day. In addition, a short survey will be available for library users so they can tell the world why they love their library. We also have the ability to collect photos and comments from patrons, so get those cameras out! (See the Data Entry/Image Submission instructions.)
How will this information be used?
This information will be shared with patrons, government officials, library trustees, and others in effort to explain why libraries make a difference in the lives of Montanans. Results will be posted at http://msl.mt.gov/LibraryDay/results/default.asp.
How do I submit my information?
Please see the Statistics, Patron Comments, and Photo Submission Instructions for directions on how to submit your information. The deadline for data entry is September 21, 2011.
(NOTE: Please remember to have your patrons sign the photo/video release form.)
What if my library is closed on September 14th?
If your library is closed on Montana Library Day you can choose another day that week to collect statistics and patron comments. The deadline for data entry is September 21, 2011.
