Ms. Sue Fitt, Director
Community Hospital
2341 Winding Way Road
Our Place, Montana 59601

Dear Ms. Fitt:

I am pleased that Community Hospital has agreed to partner with Our Place Public Library to provide a community-wide health fair that will target our area’s baby boomers.

As we discussed over lunch last week, as baby boomers age, their health becomes a priority.  They find a new urgency in preventative health care, as well as addressing health concerns or even the health issues facing their aging parents.  Training and outreach focused on the aspects of aging and customer service to mature adults will benefit our mutual employees and the senior audience we serve.

Based on my notes from our meeting, library staff will provide training on how to research health information online.  We will focus on many of the health issues that face baby boomers, from preventative health issues to diabetes and high blood pressure management, as well as how to research specific health conditions or disease.  Your hospital will provide staff that will conduct:

  • Free glucose checks
  • Blood pressure screenings
  • Body mass index and weight checks
  • Hearing test
  • Pulmonary function test.

We will work with you to provide the area that you need to conduct these tests at our library facility.  We will also provide publicity materials to the hospital that you may display in your building.

Thank you for cooperating with us to improve health services to our community baby boomers. We appreciate the opportunity to work with your hospital on this and future projects.

Ms. Mary Librarylady, Director
