Montana Scholarship Winners
Ten Montana residents will begin the University of North Texas MLIS program in fall 2010 and complete the degree by summer 2012. Each recipient receives a $14,400 scholarship for tuition.
Matthew Beckstrom of Helena. Matt is the network manager at the Lewis & Clark Library.
Linda Blomquist of Dillon. Linda is a teacher at Whitehall K-8 School.
Megan Glidden of Kalispell. Megan works at both the Columbia Falls Branch Library and in the Children’s Department at the main library in Kalispell.
Mitchell Grady of Anaconda. Mitch is the director of the Hearst Free Library.
Pamela Harrington of Missoula. Pam is a library specialist at Missoula Public Library.
Cheryl Hoover of Billings. Cheryl is an interlibrary loan technician at MSU-Billings Library.
Dana Kopp of Clinton. Dana is the library director at St. Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences Center in Missoula.
Lisa Lykins of Kalispell. Lisa is a media specialist at Kalispell Middle School and the academy director at Glacier High School Library.
Nancy Venable of Havre. Nancy is the library director of Sunnyside Intermediate School.
Jennifer Wilke of Billings. Jennifer is a reference librarian at Parmly Billings Library.
Seven Montana residents will begin the School Library Media Endorsement program at either the University of Montana or Montana State University in fall 2010 and complete the program by summer 2012. Each recipient receives a $4,320 scholarship for tuition.
Nancy Coultas of Superior. Nancy is a library aide at Superior High School.
Jennifer Crisman of Great Falls. Jennifer is the acting library media specialist at Mountain View Elementary.
Debra Denowh of Sidney. Debbie is a substitute teacher and library assistant for Sidney Public Schools.
Joelfre Grant of Ronan. Joelfre is an adjunct faculty instructor at Salish Kootenai College.
Kris Keller of Kalispell. Kris is a customer service representative for Teletech Holdings.
Nancy Lunday of Helena. Nancy is a special education teacher for the East Helena School District.
Michelle O’Rourke of Great Falls. Shelly is a middle school communication arts teacher for the Great Falls Public School District.
