Databases: Statewide Subscriptions

Introduction

The Montana State Library is able to cover the entire cost of the FY2012-13 contracts that provide statewide databases and online services to Montana citizens. This is made possible through an allocation from the 2011 Montana Legislature and support from the Governor's budget office and the efforts of the State Librarian, the State Library Commission and the Montana Library Association.

EBSCO is the provider of the statewide suite of databases for the contract period. Tutor.com provides “HomeworkMT” which includes online resources and live tutors for K-12 students and career resources for adults. Any Montana library that is listed in the Montana Library Directory has access to these statewide databases and services through August 31, 2013. Funding sources for statewide subscription databases beyond August 2013 are dependent on this year’s legislative session.
