(HELENA) -- The coordinators of Montana's six library federations will meet in the Montana State Library's Grizzly Conference Room on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 from 1 - 5 p.m. The Montana State Library is located at 1515 East Sixth Avenue in Helena. The public is invited to attend.
Libraries in Montana are organized into federations, groups of libraries working together to provide a broader range of resources and services than individual libraries alone can offer. These federations were developed by the Montana State Library Commission to give all Montanans access to a public library and, through it, the library resources within their area, the state and the nation. Each federation has a coordinator who is chosen from one of the member libraries in the federation.
The Montana State Library's federation coordinators meet twice per year. To learn more about the Montana State Library's federations, please visit: http://msl.mt.gov/For_Librarians/For_All_Librarians/Federations/default.asp.
Through its statewide programs, the Montana State Library empowers Montanans; enhances learning in families and communities; builds 21st Century skills; and provides opportunities for civic participation.
