SWIM LIBRARY MEDIA ENDORSEMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship Applicant Conditions

  • Be a resident of Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, or Wyoming
  • Have a BA/BS degree completed prior to fall 2010
  • Be certified as a teacher in a SWIM state prior to fall 2010
  • Not be currently enrolled or not have been previously enrolled in any SLME program since January 1, 2005
  • Montana residents must apply and be accepted to the distance endorsement program at University of Montana or Montana State University

Scholarship Application Steps

  • Apply to library media endorsement program at University of Montana or Montana State University by February 1, 2010
  • Verify that the endorsement program selected meets the requirements of education licensing office in state of employment
  • Apply to SWIM by March 15, 2010

You must be accepted by UM or MSU to be eligible for a SWIM scholarship award.

Each state’s SWIM Scholarship Selection Committee will award up to four scholarships for endorsement programs offered by MSU and UM. An additional four scholarships will be awarded at-large by the SWIM Advisory Council.

Notification of scholarship awards will be completed by April 30, 2010.

SWIM Library Media Endorsement scholarships will pay for 80% of tuition and fees up to $4,320. The number of credits varies by the school selected. There are no residency requirements for the endorsement programs.
