• The Land Cover theme was the basis of Montana Fish, Wildlife & Park’s Crucial Areas Planning Tool (http://fwp.mt.gov/gis/maps/caps/).

• The Land Cover theme is also the basis for species distribution models and predictive distribution models for both plants and animals in Montana.
