Take a class

Find out about classes held annually around the state for new businesses. These classes may be offered through the local job services and can help you with payroll and personnel details. Experts from different entities (worker's comp, unemployment insurance, Department of Labor and Industry, safety and others) present small snapshots of their functions throughout the daylong event. Attendees are able to ask specific questions, have access to helpful handouts, including posters you are required to have posted, etc. Plan on attending one of these each year - there are always NEW things to learn.
