Montana Library Leadership Institute

Vision:

The futures of Montana libraries are shaped by leaders who recognize the changing nature of libraries and information.  Montana librarians have the leadership skills to transform their organizations to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future.

Institutes are planned every other year as multiday retreats for public library leaders and aspiring leaders.  Applicants agree to do preparatory work before the institute begins, attend all days of the retreat, choose a project that they will complete in the 6 months following the institute, attend a series of follow-up webinars (and sometimes one additional meeting), participate in a report to the Montana State Library Commission at the end of the institute and complete an evaluation of the program.

The Summer Leadership Insitute 2015 was held July 6-9 at  Rising Wolf Ranch, East Glacier Park, MT with facilitator, Cheryl Gould
