Stay Safe Online:
Practical Cybersecurity for Everyone
Every day, cybercriminals target people through phishing emails, text messages, fake websites, social media, and phone scams. The good news is you don't need to be a technology expert to protect yourself.
In this engaging and practical presentation, CyberMontana's Laura Haacke shares the most common cyber threats facing individuals and organizations today, along with simple strategies anyone can use to stay safer online. Through real-world examples, live demonstrations, and audience discussion, participants will learn how to recognize scams, protect their accounts and personal information, and build everyday habits that reduce digital risk.
Topics include phishing, passwords, multi-factor authentication, social engineering, AI-generated scams, deepfakes, and practical cybersecurity tips that can be used immediately. Questions are encouraged throughout the presentation, creating an interactive learning experience tailored to participants' interests.
