Transparency and Trust:

Each Montanan retains the right to review public documents, observe public meetings, and comment on public matters.  This session will review the legal and practical bases for these rights and how state and local governments are expected to encourage citizen engagement. Attendees will hear information about the Montana Constitution and its application through state laws and government policies. 

Kris Goss serves as the Director of the Library Learning Hub at Helena College – University of Montana and as an attorney with the law firm of Jackson, Murdo, & Grant, PC in Helena. Kris earned a law degree from the University of Montana School of Law, a library degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a degree in political science from Carroll College. He is originally from Richland County and graduated from Sidney High School.
