Bat Week Special!

Featuring Shannon Hilty with Montana Wild

Shannon Hilty is the state bat biologist for Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and has over 17 years of research and management experience related to bats. For Bat Week Shannon is joining us to discuss her efforts in developing Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Bat Monitoring Program, a collaborative effort between numerous state and federal entities.

Shannon received her B.A. from the University of Montana, Missoula and her M.S. from Montana State University, Bozeman where she investigated rock-roosting bats and their relationship with mountain pine beetle. Shannon is the President of Western Bat Working Group and really enjoys sharing her love of bats with all types of stakeholders. In her free time, Shannon loves to backpack, wrangle her menacing dog, participate in community events, paint, play Stardew Valley, and see new places while traveling with her family.
