Books Before Bedtime

Thank you everyone! We got to work with so many libraries and the families in their communities last season! The 2026 program had a fantastic statewide reach and we couldn't have done it without you. Check it out! 

The grant funding for this program has ended but we are working on ways to offer programming in the coming year.

Books Before Bedtime is a free, virtual story time held once a month, designed to help create a calming bedtime routine, while fostering early literacy in a warm and accessible way.

September 9th - This Table by Alex Killian, read by Vicki Chaney, storyteller from the Pea Green Boat!  - completed

October 7th - Hot Dog by Doug Salati, read by Molly Malloy, Childrens Librarian at the Miles City Public Library - Completed

November 4th - LMNOPeas by Keith Baker, Read by Katherine Altizer, at Great Falls Public Library - Completed

December 2ndUrsula Upside Down by Corey R. Tabor, Read by Cathy Friel, from the Butte Silverbow Public Library Childrens Department. - Completed

January 6th - The Quiet Forest by Charlotte Offsay – Read by Adam Stephenson, Branch Librarian at Lincoln County Library Troy - Completed

February 3rd -  Little Blue Truck by Alice Schertle and Jill McMurry -  Read by Anika Risener, Library Director at Big Horn County Library - All online registrations have been filled, but they are handing out books and a link to the program at the Butte Silverbow Public Library while supplies last. - Completed

March 3rd - The Goat and the Stoat and the Boat by Em Lynas  - Read by Dr. Tammy Elser, Education Director at the Salish Kootenai College - Completed

April 7th - Bark George by Jules Feiffer - Read by Molly Hudson, Childrens Services Librarian at the Lewis and Clark Library. Completed
