Chronic Disease

Chronic diseases are conditions that last one year or more and require ongoing medical attention or limit activities of daily living or both. They are among the most common, costly, and preventable of all health problems. Chronic disease are non-communicable conditions that are generally not preventable by vaccines or cured by medication. They typically require long-term management. (Definitions from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institutes of Health, and World Health Organization)
