Health Literacy
In a report from the Institute of Medicine, Health Literacy: A Prescription to End Confusion, health literacy is defined as "the degree to which individuals have the capacity to obtain, process, and understand basic health information and services needed to make appropriate health decisions." This health literacy trunk provides tools for programming that will help people find the resources they need to make informed decisions about their health.
