Media Mavericks is a new program by Montana PBS Education that invites middle and high school students to explore how they see themselves, their world, and their future. We bring standards-aligned media-making projects to classrooms, help students create original audio-, video-, and image-based content, and publish their work for showcase on the web. It's a great way to teach students useful professional skills and to provide educators with new educational activities that will excite and engage students. Resources include a toolkit with lesson plans, project ideas, tutorial videos, worksheets, gear recommendations, and so much more.
Librarians, please note you may notice use of the word "Teacher" and not "Librarian" or "Educator". Please understand the word "Teacher" is used as an all-encompassing term to include any grownup working in an educational capacity with teens involved in the challenge. Librarians have the same access as teachers throughout.
