Unified English Braille (UEB)

Beginning January 4, 2016, all NLS braille books will be produced using Unified English Braille (UEB).  The Braille Authority of North America (BANA) designed a resource to introduce braille readers to UEB, titled "The UEB Reader".  This introductory hardcopy braille booklet incorporates into one document several key resources found on the BANA website.  To receive a braille copy of "The UEB Reader", free of charge, contact Kim Charlson at Perkins Braille and Talking Book Library with your name and address for mailing purposes, or contact the UEB Information Line at 617-972-7248.
