Caring for your NLS Digital Player
- Try not to let the battery run completely down, particularly in earlier models with serial numbers smaller than these: Standard Players DS1-0064602 and Advanced Players DA1-0024536. To find out what your machine's serial number is press the sleep button ten times in a row, and the player will announce the serial number.
- A digital talking book machine will play 12-30 hours on a full battery charge. The announcement "Battery Charge Remaining" in an estimate, not an exact amount of time.
- If the player is not holding a charge or isn't playing properly, please return the player for replacement and repairs, as the battery is not replaceable by patrons.
- If the player is not going to be used for a while, plug the player in so the battery will not run completely down. The battery will not over-charge. The player is designed to stop charging when the charge is complete.
- If a player is not producing any sound at all, or only produces sound through headphones, please return the player for replacement and repairs.
