Citizen Science
The programs below will offer different variations on the citizen science theme in Montana at the micro and macro level. Some will feature the state as a whole, others will be so specific you can narrow it down to what is observable outside the window in your library. Some of these projects will encourage your library to create an iNaturalist project limited to your local footprint, or area while others will rely on the Montana iNaturalist Place Page.
You will see some common themes like seasonal exploration, different ways to display information, drawing stations, and interactive self guided activities.  You will get instructions to help your library set up an iNaturalist project, and printable guidance for your patrons who want to start using the Montana Field Guides, and/or iNaturalist to participate in citizen science activities right there in your library.
